1 - The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is safe, needs no equipment and is easy to learn.

3 - Anyone can learn to do EFT, even kids! Itís easy to teach to friends and family.

4 - Itís a great tool to effectively calm or soothe your self emotionally, mentally and/or physically.

5 - With EFT you become responsible for soothing or calming yourself, instead of waiting for another person to change their mood, attitude or behaviour so you can feel better.

6 - EFT can be done anywhere (i.e. in the bathroom when you are with others or out in a public place).

7 - If you canít find a private place to do a few rounds of tapping, EFT can be easily modified i.e. just tap on karate chop or collar bone points (the location of these points are identified on this page: EFT tapping points

You can also... simply tap your finger tips together since there are important meridian points on the finger tips. I find that tapping on my thigh just above my knee and a little over to the outside of my leg, is a very powerful way to center and ground myself -- especially when I am having a stressful or emotional phone conversation. "Hi mom... thanks for calling!" :)

EFT can also be done quite effectively using only your mind and imagining that you are tapping on the EFT body points - this is called mental tapping. Imaginary or mental tapping is great thing to do before falling asleep or when you wake up and are too tired or too relaxed to lift up your arm.

8 - EFT not only stimulates the energy meridians and improves energy flow in the body, it helps to fully connect you to your physical body or Ďgroundí your bodyís energy (electrical) system.

Here are some signs of being Ďungroundedí: stumbling, bumping into things, clumsiness, minor injuries, being unfocussed, light headed, confused, feeling uneasy, anxious, nervous, angry, worried, scared, sad etc.

9 - EFT is a powerful tool for disease prevention. Trapped negative energy in the body like stress, tension, anxiety and worry has been clinically proven to lead to illness such as; ulcers, crohnís disease, colitis, chronic stress disorder, back problems, migraines, tension headaches, fibromyalgia, IBS, chronic fatigue syndrome, mood disorders such as depression, TMJ and more.

10 - No one has ever been harmed by doing EFT. The least that can happen is that youíll feel a little more relaxed and calm after doing a few rounds of EFT!

Important Note: Although EFT is still in the experimental stage and does not work 100% of the time (as nothing does), it offers a new level of health and happiness without drugs, needles or negative side effects. What a gift EFT is!
